Capture New Zealand Photo Expeditions was established in 2005, founded by professional landscape photographer Phillip Bartlett. Since pioneering multi-day, multi-region workshops in New Zealand we continue to innovate with the variety and uniqueness of the trips we offer.

Our vision is to provide a professional-style landscape photography experience where photographers are shooting at key locations at the most productive times, and are also guided to little-known wilderness areas away from the standard tourist routes. We keep our group sizes small to ensure photographers enjoy a higher level of individual photographic instruction in the field, with the added bonus of the ability to access areas not possible with larger groups.

We are approved by the Department of Conservation to operate our workshops in National Parks and Reserves and have been safety audited according to government regulations.

The excitement of being out in New Zealand’s great outdoors with other passionate photographers, along with the fun and friendship we all enjoy on a workshop, makes it hard to part company at the end of each expedition.
